Main reason for this post isn’t because of the track (it’s ok), but it’s mostly because I’m glad Dro is on the return. Dude is pretty unique. Pretty raw flow, colorful bars, and lets face it, he’s better than Yung LA. No disrepect to LA, Kuntry, Bob, or anyone else from Grand Hustle but as far as anticipation in the absense of the King goes, Dro needs to make the spotlight his. Dude has undeniable talent and his ‘P.O.L.O.’ LP needs to drop sooner rather than later. At least while Tip’s not around, Dro is in a sense responsible for Grand Hustle moving forward in 2010. Let’s face it, relevance is a huge issue in Hip-Hop and there is no better time for Dro than right now. This track is better than those joints that leaked with Akon though in my opinion. But, he’s definately capable of something far greater. Just listen to his first album.
Copped my tix for the Jeezy/Wayne/Drake show (yes I’m purposely leaving the other excuse for an artist out) and that’s about the only time I had online last few days. Back in business. Starting off with some fresh shit from Corey Gunz. I know the majority of artist coverage has revolved around Jeezy, Wayne, and other heavyweights but it’s always nice to hear from hip-hop’s young “Gunz”. You most likely have heard or at least know the name here. Very easy to listen to dude, he has bars for days. Couple new joints here off the new ‘7 Days of Haze’ mixtape that just dropped courtesy DJ Haze & Hear It First.

This is about the 9 or 10th video that Jeezy has shot for ‘The Recession’. The homie stays busy, between his album release last September to now, Jeezy has been featured on multiple singles for a variety artists (Lil Boosie, Birdman, Ciara, Ice Cube, Kanye, Akon, etc), he has released numerous videos for songs off his album, released a very successful ‘Trappin Aint Dead’ Mixtape, and is currently recording his next album ‘Thug Motivation 103′. Don’t know too much about the release but I know he’s been in the studio heavy with Shawty Redd. Which is only fitting since that combo gave us so many classic anthems not so long ago. You can’t knock the hustle.

It is what it is. New Weezy F featuring Gucci. Kane Beatz on the track who Wayne is familiar with from tracks like ‘I’m In The Hood’ with Brisco (which was dope). Not a bad track here. Other than some tampered vocals/half-singing on the hook, Wayne doesn’t use his buddy Autotune (which has been murdered by HOV – R.I.P.) Still not on his 2007 flow, but take what you can get when Wayne just raps I guess, especially these days.

Couple new tracks from Clifford. Firstly, ‘The Way You Want It’ is pretty dope if I say so myself (good sample) but I really don’t know what to think about the ‘Life My Life Alone’ track. I don’t really wanna say anything about the track, it’s one of those songs you need to hear for yourself you know? I think I need to let this one soak in a bit. After a solid release in ‘Paper Trail’ and consistent mixtape joints, this track is a little bit left field (especially for Tip). I have a feeling B.o.B. had something to do with this lol. Thoughts?

OK, let me tell you, my dude CJ is a monster when it comes to hip hop music. He is on everything the second it comes out. Im just getting around to posting this now, but these songs have been sitting in my inbox since last night. I got the email within 10 minutes of the songs hitting the net. You couldnt even find this stuff with a google search and he already had it sent to me. I dont know how he does it, and I dont need to know. Its kind of like watching Lebron play, just witness greatness. Anyway, here go some new verses from the hottest in the game.
